Collective Goods Donates $5,000 Worth of Books to Mesa, AZ School

Collective Goods partners Todd and Mirandi Hoffman delivered the Grand Prize of $5,000 worth of books to Cambridge Academy charter school in Mesa, AZ on Tuesday, December 5, 2017. Sharon Henderson, the Grand Prize winner, met the team at the school and introduced them to members of the Cambridge Academy staff, including Principal Amy Monarrez.

Henderson is a retired teacher and librarian from Tucson and now volunteers at Cambridge Academy. She informed CG that the school currently has no library, and that the donated books are to be the launch pad for the project.

2nd Place contest winners at East Valley Middle School, Nampa, IDThe Hoffmans described the reaction to all the books as “ecstatic”, saying how very exciting it was to watch as everyone dove into the collection and started to flip through all the books. Congratulations, Cambridge Academy, and best of luck on creating your library!

Coming in second place in the contest was East Valley Middle School in Nampa, ID (pictured left), serviced by CG partner Liz Caldwell. They won $300 worth of books for their school. Congrats to everyone at East Valley!
